SwaroopRawal’s chosen path is one of development and transformation, for humanity; of sewa of the children of the nation. Her sewa is not only confined to the walls of one classroom, but to the rural arena where her scope for caring, compassion and selfless service is unique. This came to the fore during her stint in Gujarat when she under the leadership of the then Honourable Chief Minister ShriModi took on the task to enhance the learning of the Primary Government School teachers of Gujarat.
SwaroopRawal has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education (2006) and more recently a Doctor of Letters (honoriscausa) (2017) both from the University of Worcester, UK.
She is the non-government member of Central Advisory Board of Education, India. Swaroop is an editorial board member of Educational Journal of Living Theory (EJOLT) an e–journal, published from the UK. Besides this she is the Governing Council member and Member of Society of Save the Children, India.
A Sp Ed and life skills teacher uses drama-in-education to teach children. Her work covers a wide canvas of many states in India including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttaranchal, Jharkhand, etc. She has facilitated huge programs like teacher-training sessions for 2 ½ lakh Primary Government School teachers for Gujarat Council for Educational Research and Training (GCERT) &SarvaShikshaAbhiyan. As a consultant for Child Protection Unit, Gujarat for life skills enhancement through drama her work reached 5,400 villages in Gujarat, reaching 38,000 adolescents.
